权欲第二章第三季

　　HBO也宣布续订了刚结束第二季播出的《守望尘世》，并宣布第三季将会是剧终季。

　　根据詹妮弗·沃斯回忆录改编的、英国广播公司（BBC）出品的剧集《呼叫助产士》讲述了上世纪五六十年代伦敦东区一群助产士的生活经历。这部大获成功的电视剧回归后将会有更多关于Nonnatus 修道院护士和修女们感人而扣人心弦的故事。第五季中，莫妮卡·琼修女在圣诞节期间失踪，这令修女和护士们心烦意乱。Shelagh在匆忙中组织了儿童唱诗班，及时赶上了BBC在教堂的节目播放。同时特里克西一直与酒精作斗争，并在健身课程中找到了新的目标。对牧师汤姆·赫里沃德和芭芭拉来说，友谊会发展成更多的东西吗?

　　故事讲述两个在当代具有超自然能力的人“乔治”和“米歇尔”。在当地一个不知名的医院里做苦工，他们生活绝望-因为米歇尔是吸血鬼，乔治是狼人。他们决定改过自新，住在了一起才发现，一个女鬼(Annie)死于神秘的情况并且经常闹鬼。在这个一个对两个人的竞赛中(Threesome 有三人一组或者一人对抗两人的意思，这里应该指安妮女鬼和乔治米歇尔搭档)，他们与超自然生物对抗，希望通过这样的生活方式与他们的邻居-人类相处。

　　A renowned MMA fighter juggles her life between fights in the ring and raising her seven-year-old son. After an incident at the boy's school, the woman is forced to transfer him to the "Wonderful Harbor" a facility recommended by the school psychologist. The young mother is unaware that the parents of the school's students come from a completely different world than her own. Among them is a single father, an influencer, and a devoted mother who has sacrificed everything for her son. Initially, the woman is skeptical about the school, but after her son befriends one of the students, the young mother must accept the new situation. However, it becomes apparent that "Wonderful Harbor" is not without its challenges, prompting the fierce instincts of the young mother to surface.

　　Showtime在一月头预定新剧《芝加哥故事 The Chi》，由Lena Waithe、Elwood Reid、Common、Aaron Kaplan的Kapital Entertainment公司以及Fox 21 TV Studios联合制作；本剧去年就已拍摄试映集，但後来回炉重拍才被预订，该剧在美国时间18年1月7日首播。
　　本剧由Lena Waithe执笔﹑Rick meijubar.net Famuyiwa执导，讲述了芝加哥南区六个相互联系的人物所呈现的特色故事。角色包括Kevin（Alex R. Hibbert饰演），他是个能在恶劣环境生活﹑自信的13岁少年，原本他的生活很简单，就是痴心班上的一个女孩﹑在邻居之间有群朋友，以及希望某天离开南区。不过他有次在错误的时间出现在错误的地方，目击谋杀现场使他改变了对日常的看法。
　　Brandon（Jason Mitchell饰），一个有抱负有自信的年轻人，梦想着有一天能开一家自己的饭店，但是他对于新生活的承诺和对母亲以及在南区生活的弟弟的责任，似乎成为了这个梦想道路上的障碍。Jerrika（Tiffany Boone饰演），Brandon直言不讳的伴侣，她在努力让Brandon妈妈接受自己当儿子的女朋友，不过她为Brandon的选择是明智的。在当餐厅经理的她辛勤工作，就为了让Brandon离开街头幷成为一个大厨。
　　Emmett及Jada，全职护士兼单亲妈妈Jada（Yolonda Ross饰演），有着一个鲁莽但有魅力的儿子Emmett（Jacob Latimore饰）；Emmett原本是位女商人的伴侣，不过现在得独自抚养他那还在襁褓的孩子，至于Jada在对新成为父亲的Emmett采取严爱时，自己也探索起成年时的烦恼。
　　Ronnie（Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine饰），前军人的他被芝加哥南区的生活拖垮，他平常经常与邻里的朋友打混，不然就是照顾自己祖母。不过某天她的前女友（Ronnie视她儿子如己出）驱使他为一宗谋杀案报仇时，Ronnie为了赢回前女友的心将会走上一条错误的路。

　　美墨边境题材剧集《#郊狼# Coyote》发布预告，宣布移至CBS All Access，2021年1月7日上线。而CBSAA明年初又会改名为Paramount+。
　　这部6集剧之前Paramount Network开发。由David Graziano、Michael Carnes及Josh Gilbert执笔的剧集《郊狼》聚焦在美墨边境，讲述当了32年美国边防警卫队探员的Ben Clemens（Michael Chiklis饰）过去一直为美国抓捕墨西哥偷渡者。现在他被迫为对面的人效劳，但当主角正式待在边境的另一边后，他发现自己非黑即白的观点，以及原本的忠诚都被慢慢动摇起来。

　　Filming has commenced on the first Christmas special and second series of the BBC's hugely successful crime drama Beyond Paradise. Co-commissioned with BritBox International and coming to BBC One and iPlayer, fans will be eager to see what’s next for Humphrey and Martha following their make-or-break trip to Saint Marie at the end of the last series.
　　Series one of Beyond Paradise became the UK’s most successful new drama launch of the year so far, averaging 8 million viewers, when it made its debut on BBC One and iPlayer earlier this year.
　　The Christmas special episode and second series will see the return of Kris Marshall as DI Humphrey Goodman, Sally Bretton as Martha Lloyd, Zahra Ahmadi as DS Esther Williams, Dylan Llewellyn as PC Kelby Hartford, Barbara Flynn as Anne Lloyd and Felicity Montagu as Margo Martins.
　　Filmed in picturesque locations around South-West England in Devon and Cornwall, the new series features the same joyful escapism, humour and mind-boggling cases fans have come to adore since series one. Shipton Abbott’s new detective inspector will be tasked with solving a shocking crime on a steam train, an arson attack predicted by a medium and the baffling disappearance of the local fishing legend.

　　At the beginning of 2259, Captain John Sheridan replaces Sinclair as the military governor of the station. He and the command staff learn that the death of President Santiago was actually an assassination masterminded by Vice President Clark (who assumed the Presidency upon Santiago's death). A conflict develops between the Babylon 5 command staff and the Psi Corps, an increasingly autocratic organization which oversees and controls the lives of human telepaths. Commander Ivanova, the second-in-command of the station, is secretly a latent telepath who has illicitly avoided registering with the Psi Corps.
　　The Shadows, an ancient and extremely powerful race who have recently emerged from hibernation, are revealed to be the cause of a variety of mysterious and disturbing events, including the attack on the Narn outpost at the end of 2258. Centauri Ambassador Londo Mollari unknowingly enlists their aid through his association with the mysterious Mr. Morden in the ongoing conflict with the Narn. The elderly and ailing Centauri emperor, long an advocate of reconciliation with the Narn, dies suddenly while visiting Babylon 5. A number of conspirators, including Londo Mollari and Refa, take control of the Centauri government by assassinating their opponents and placing the late emperor's unstable nephew on the throne. Their first act is to start open aggression against the Narn. After a full-scale war breaks out, the Centauri eventually conquer Narn in a brutal attack involving mass drivers, outlawed weapons of mass destruction. Towards the end of the year, the Clark administration begins to show increasingly totalitarian characteristics, clamping down on dissent and restricting freedom of speech. The Vorlons are revealed to be the basis of legends about angels on various worlds, including Earth, and are the ancient enemies of the Shadows. They enlist the aid of Sheridan and the Babylon 5 command staff in the struggle against the Shadows.

　　在TBS全清多镜头喜剧后，就一直开发各种单镜头喜剧，现在又预订一部黑色喜剧《Search Party》，背景讲述一群20多岁的年青人，因为前大学校友神秘失踪而再次重聚。 《Search Party》焦点在脆弱﹑失意的女主Dory（Alia Shawkat饰演）﹑对自己做的事并不自豪，最大的成就就是为她那从富有的雇主手中处理捐赠衣物。她亦觉得自己与男友Drew（John Reynolds）的关系如一潭死水，而Drew是个无知但又自满，还像个被宠坏般的人。 即使是好友Elliott及Portia（John Early及Meredith Hagner），她也觉得不断的跟他们疏离；Elliott是个自认的自大狂，老爱给自己的生活方式不停加各种头衔﹑Portia是个演员，长期在不安全感及病态式热衷中找平衡。 本剧由Sarah-Violet Bliss及Charles Rogers编剧兼执导。

　　一批医学院的学生来到圣心医院开始他们的实习生涯，但是从第一天起就发现这里并不是想象中安详宁静的医学圣地，从医生到护士甚至门卫个个不同寻常。内科实习医生杰迪是个聪明而又英俊的年轻人，但是笨拙而又缺乏自信的表现常常惹得医生护士故意欺负他，甚至被叫做“小鹿班比”。特克是杰迪的大学同学，身为外科实习医生的他具有与自信衬的高明医术。伊丽亚特-里德是实习医生中唯一的女性，美丽却神经质，被认为有社交障碍。罗伯特-卡尔索医生和佩里-考克斯医生是圣心医院的主要医师，两人也是天生的冤家对头。
　　从实习医生成为正式医生的过程充满了艰辛和痛苦，当然也有令人喜悦的胜利，他们在病房中接触到各式各样的病人、第一次直接面对病人的死亡、时不时还被卷入医生间的竞争。他们的爱情也和工作一样丰富多彩。杰迪和伊丽亚特彼此吸引，两人却分分合合在友情和爱情之间摇摆；特克追上了美丽的护士卡拉，但卡拉强烈的控制欲令特克感到一丝恐惧；离婚的考克斯医生暗恋着卡拉，但是从来无法抵抗前妻乔丹的诱惑。
　　短短一年的实习生涯中，杰迪们从菜鸟渐渐成长为合格的医生，也从病人的悲欢离合中领悟到生命、爱情和生活的真谛。当他们以医生的身份重新回到圣心医院时，一部完全不同的故事再次开幕。(一平/文)

　　《星际迷航:下一代》(简称TNG)是《星际迷航》系列的第2部剧集，台湾翻译为《银河飞龙》，于1987-1994年共播出了7季。该剧讲述的是在24世纪，《星际迷航:原初系列》(简称TOS)的八十年后，Picard舰长率领企业号D继续探索太空的冒险故事。
　　每一集的开头都有这样一段话：「宇宙，人类最后的边疆，这是星舰企业号的旅程，它所持续的使命，是为了探索陌生的新世界，寻找新的生命及新的文明，勇敢地航向那前所未至的宇宙洪荒。」
　　这段话和「原初系列」的版本并没有太大的差别，为了更强调银河中有许多不同的人种，「man」也改成了用　one　代替，不光指地球人类。
　　由于电影第四集「抢救未来」最后出现了企业号A (NCC-1701-A)，「TNG」的企业号编号改为现在大家熟悉的 NCC-1701-D，一直到现在，只有企业号的编号是维持不变，后面再挂上字母的，这是企业号的特权，其它星舰在不同时代即使有重复的名称，也不会有相同的编号。
　　星舰企业号D的舰长是Jean-Luc Picard，副舰长是William Riker，制片人Gene Roddenberry希望由女性来担任安全官以表示未来男女平等，Tasha Yar的角色诞生，后来又加入两个女性角色，顾问 Deanna Troi和医官 Beverly Crusher，另外还有一个天才少年Wesley Crusher。为了纪念一位美国众所皆知于 1975 年过逝的眼盲星舰迷George La Forge，Gene Roddenberry创造出一个眼盲的角色－－ Geordi La Forge。接下来是一个生化人的角色－－ Data，他是企业号的科学官。 最后一个角色 Worf，作为一名克林贡人加入了星际联邦代表着昔日的敌人已成为今日的盟友，在冷战时代是个很有意义的角色。
