　　The fifth-year residents return for the first day of a year that will make or break their careers: Meredith faces the consequences of tampering with Derek's clinical trial and is terminated at the hospital; April tries to step up to the plate as Chief Resident in the wake of a giant sinkhole in the middle of Seattle; and Cristina and Owen are still at odds over their drastically different feelings for their unborn child.

　　北京时间9月25日，ABC电视台重磅医务剧将以两小时特别篇回到我们的视线，上一季结尾留下的Izzie和George的去留问题将在回归篇中一一解答。感谢KatherineHeigl的直言，我们已经大概得知剧中这两位主要人物的命运。Izzie将会幸存下来，而George将告别观众。而且因为TRKnight的合同问题，George可能将不会再以新镜头出现在第六季中，开篇也仅仅将以一具棺材代替他的存在。ABC电视台也确认George的扮演者TR Knight将不会成为第六季的常规演员，与之相反的是扮演儿科医生的Arizona Robbins的JessicaCapshaw将有幸成为第六季的常规演员。可以预见，其与剧中另一主要角色Callie的同性恋情的戏份也将加长。

Facing marital troubles and the difficulty of balancing her work and personal life, Bailey has handed her responsibilities as head of the free clinic over to Izzie. Also striving for balance is Chief of Surgery, Richard Webber, who has reunited with his estranged wife, Adele.
　　The doctors of Seattle Grace Hospital deal with life-or-death consequences on a daily basis - it's in one another that they find comfort, friendship and love. 　　After failing his exam, George reluctantly faces his first day reliving his internship among a sea of fresh faces. Meanwhile, Cristina, Meredith, Izzie and Alex are in charge of their own interns and George is assigned to Meredith.
　　Neither Cristina or Meredith have heard from her exes since the wedding, and they don't seem overly concerned, which astounds Izzie, who is counting every day since she last spoke to George. George asks to talk to Meredith but before he can get her alone, the rest of the new interns show up in the hall and are shooed off by the residents. George gives up and joins the interns. Cristina nicknames him "Bambi," saying he needs to learn how to deal with his new situation.
