　　The eighteenth season of the American competitive reality television series Hell's Kitchen (officially known as Hell's Kitchen: Rookies vs. Veterans) began airing on September 28, 2018 on Fox. Gordon Ramsay returns as host and head chef, and Season 10 winner Christina Wilson and British MasterChef judge James "Jocky" Petrie return as the red and blue sous chefs, respectively, alongside maitre'd Marino Monferrato. This season features eight new contestants battling eight returning veterans. Ariel Contreras-Fox, who previously finished in third place on Season 6, won the competition; she is the second consecutive returnee, and sixth consecutive woman to do so. She is also the ninth contestant to win the competition without being nominated for elimination once, after Kimberly-Ann Ryan, Meghan Gill, La Tasha McCutchen, Christina Wilson, Holli Ugalde, Dave Levey, Heather West, and Michael Wray.

　　Forged in Fire is an American reality television competition series that airs on the History channel, and is produced by Outpost Entertainment, a Leftfield Entertainment company. In each episode, four bladesmiths compete in a three-round elimination contest to forge bladed weapons, with the overall winner receiving $10000 and the day's championship title. The series is hosted by Wil Willis, with a three-judge panel consisting of J. Neilson, David Baker, and Doug Marcaida, experts in weapon history and use.

　　As "Alone" enters its fourth season, the competition series shakes things up with a new twist: the contestants are dropped off in a remote location as pairs. Seven pairs of family members travel to a rugged region of British Columbia, where they are separated and dropped off miles apart from each other. Each player must navigate the wilderness to locate his or her partner. Once reunited, the loved ones have to create their own shelters and forage for their food while overcoming rough weather conditions and deadly predators. They have nothing more than the contents of their small backpacks and 10 tools split between them to help with their survival. The last duo standing at the end of the season is declared the winner and takes home the $500,000 grand prize.

　　Originally hosted by Joe Rogan, “Fear Factor” aired on NBC between 2001 and 2006, and the basic idea was that contestants were tasked with overcoming their fears by doing all sorts of gross and horrifying things. In one episode, they had to literally eat horse rectum. In another, they had to bob for rings at the bottom of a tank filled with cow’s blood. Yeah. No thank you.
　　The original “Fear Factor” ran for six seasons, with Ludacris hosting a short-lived revival of the series back in 2017. That version of the series ended up running for just two seasons.
　　So what’s the new twist for this latest revival? Variety reports that “Fear Factor: The Next Chapter” will be “bigger, bolder and more daring” than the series has ever been before.
　　In the new reboot series, “Dropped into an unforgiving, remote location, a group of strangers will live together under one roof, and face mind-blowing stunts, harrowing challenges and a twisted game of social strategy where trust is fleeting — and fear is a weapon.”
　　“The reinvention piece is critical here. It’s called Fear Factor, and we’re going to take the brand name,” Fox Entertainment CEO Rob Wade teases. “But I think the producer’s come up with a really interesting take on it, and it’s not going to feel like the show from 20 years ago.”
